I love sharing meals with friends, smiling, and laughing.
Sharing these moments makes people happier and increases a person’s enjoyment of life.
As a dentist, being able to help my patients enjoy these times with their loved ones is the greatest gift I can give.
Dr. Maria Garubba
Dr. Garubba was initially drawn to dentistry as the ideal collaboration of the scientific brain of the medical field and the creative brain of the arts, while allowing her to develop connections with those in her care.
She is passionate about oral health and the critical role it plays in each person’s overall physical and emotional wellness. This passion is evident in her approach to patient care: she focuses on the individual’s clinical situation and considers their dental needs, goals, and concerns when developing a treatment plan.
By seeing the whole of the person – beyond their teeth – Dr. Garubba is able to help them achieve and maintain optimal oral health and, in turn, a healthier, happier, more enjoyable life.
- Bachelor of Science, University of Pittsburgh
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine
- Two-year General Practice Residency, The Ohio State University
Throughout the year, Dr. Garubba seeks out a range of continuing education opportunities. In addition to attending local, regional, and national meetings, she also participates in hands-on lectures and is an active member of the local Spear Study Club.
Continuing educations allows Dr. Garubba to offer more services and advanced procedures at the practice, instead of needing to refer patients to other offices. By staying on top of new technologies and techniques, she ensures she’s providing the best patient experience and results.
As a result of her post-graduate studies, Dr. Garubba has earned the Fellowship designation with the Academy of General Dentistry and with the International Dental Implant Association.

Beyond the Practice
Originally from the Scranton area, Dr. Garubba, her husband Keith who is an artist, and their scrappy dog, Hook, now live in Bethlehem.
Outside of seeing patients, Dr. Garubba enjoys staying fit, excels at watching movies and TV, and often has several books that she is reading at the same time. She treasures sharing a delicious meal with friends and then sitting around the table, talking and laughing, while ignoring the dirty dishes.
